a few words about us
The Muhammadi Masjid is a highly esteemed mosque situated in the central region of Bradford, United Kingdom. It holds significant recognition as a famous local landmark within the vicinity. The mosque is well acknowledged as one of the foremost Islamic establishments in the nation, playing a pivotal role in meeting the requirements of the nearby Muslim populace.
The establishment of the mosque occurred during the 1970s, initiated by a collective of Pakistani immigrants who had chosen to reside in the vicinity. During that period, there was a pressing demand for a mosque capable of accommodating the expanding Muslim population in Bradford. The local community successfully mobilised financial resources to acquire an end terraced house, followed by the acquisition of a property that once served as St Judes Vicarage. Subsequently, the structure underwent demolition, paving the way for the inauguration of a meticulously designed mosque in April 2000. Subsequent to its initial construction, the place of worship has undergone multiple modifications and additions in order to cater to the increasing congregation. The existing structure encompasses several facilities, including separate prayer halls for men and women, classrooms, a library, a restaurant, offices, and communal areas.
